Hybrid synthesizer

SERIGO

Four engines, three layers, 1,032 sounds ready to play.

Analog, wavetable, sample and granular sound with up to 32 voices, shaped by motion, macros and a full effects rack. Built so the first sound you load already feels finished, and the tenth is yours.

Early release for Windows: VST3 plugin and standalone app.

How you use it

Three ways into a sound.

Find one, bend one, or build one out of a sample of your own. Each takes a few seconds, and Undo covers all of them.

Browse

1,032 presets, each with its own six macros.

Pick a sound and turn the six knobs it names. Every preset is balanced to the same loudness, so stepping through them never jumps in volume.

Use it for finding the sound fast.

Vary

Twelve versions of whatever is loaded.

Warmer, darker, wider, punchier, lo-fi: one click makes a new version of the sound you have. The dice gives you another take on the same idea.

Use it when a preset is nearly right.

Chop

Grains in time with the song.

Load a sample into a granular layer, lock the grains to the tempo and let an LFO walk through it. A rhythm comes out of one held chord.

Use it for vocal chops, stutters and moving pads.

Known beta limitations

  • SERIGO is an early release (0.3.1) and details may change.
  • Windows only for now.
  • Builds are not code-signed, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.

Early release

Free download.

SERIGO is free to download as an early release. Get the Windows installer or the VST3 package from GitHub.

Questions

Before you ask.

Is it really free?

Yes. SERIGO is free to download and to make music with. There is no account, no trial timer and no licence key.

Windows says the installer is from an unknown publisher.

The build is not code-signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway. If you would rather not run a setup program at all, take the VST3-only zip: it contains just the plugin, and you copy it into your VST3 folder yourself.

Which music software does it work in?

Any 64-bit Windows host that loads VST3 instruments. There is also a standalone app, so you can play it with no host at all. Every build is checked with pluginval at its strictest setting.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet. SERIGO runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.

Can I use my own samples?

Yes. A sample or granular layer can load a file of your own, and Texturize blends one into whatever sound is loaded.

Will an update change how my projects sound?

It should not. Each version is tested against saved projects from the versions before it, and new features are off until you switch them on.
